Albino-B2 project

:) No, they are not. The copper came out from old electric arc welder. It is a strip 35x1mm about 25m long. I cut it with scissors and the rest you know... It is multi color copper not blood...

Thats the most OEM product looking build quality I can remember ever seeing on the forum!
What is you day job, aerospace?

@mr.electric: Up to 7 months ago I use to design, build an maintance industial automation, mainly high speed robots for plastic industry. Now I work as CEO's techinical advisor in one major battery company.

@ryan_lirui: ecitypower 2x 12S bleed 150A cont. 300A max. current connected in series, chargers ecitypower 2x 36V10A one for each pack.

@full-throttle: What mag is that?

Hal, are you using anything to prevent cell rust? I just found that two of my 1000 Headway cells rusted a bit on the + terminal. Nothing bad but it's there.

And three of my cells broke when i was torquing them - the negative terminal spins inside the epoxy while the rest of the cell doesn't turn.

I have to see your new monster in person! Looks beautifully!

Btw. guys. Hal was in a major Croatian newspaper today. He will become famous  Can I post a scan of the article here Hal? Don't be so shy

On +1500 cells none was rusty. I guess different supplyer plays the role
But the minus pole is peace-ov-sheet. I broke several and only one battery is dead.
Even if they turn they might work fine.

I'll translate some text tomorrow if I will have time for it.

Here's the article

They chosen the worst bike he has for the picture

Here is what google translate says;

ZAGREB electric bicycle

No effort for 20 minutes brings us to the top Medvednica (mountain nearby Zagreb)

When you are in city traffic on the roads overtake a cyclist who develops a speed of 30 kilometers per hour, do not be surprised - besides you has barged cycling legend Lance Armstrong.

News

Free electric bike faster and easier to work, school, home ...
If, while you note to you is this same cyclist beat with ease, without turning the pedals with a slightly wicked smile, do not rub your eyes in disbelief. This really happened!

Competition engines
Next to you is, in fact, passed an electric bike which can compete with their performance and motorcycles and scooters! The black 'shell' which is located in the Ramah bike is not a decoration, but protection for the converter which changes DC to AC power and batteries to be recharged. There are lies, and a controller that can limit the maximum speed. The rear wheel is electric, and on the steering wheel on the right handle is the gas that is easily comparable to the transmission speed of an ordinary bicycle.

Simply grip the thumb on the throttle, the engine "takes all the work, 'so the cyclist can steer without relying on their own power. So not surprised by the exceptional results achieved by this vehicle - for 20 minutes, without any effort and drops of sweat, it is possible to arrive at the top of the trekkers.

Late night work in the garage
Constructed in omalenoj garage, size ten square meters in Zagreb Kraljevec. He is the author or inventor of a kind, 40-year-old automatičar Zvonimir Sučić. Produced them, and soon sold a total of 22, and the first model emerged in the late night hours, less than three years ago.

- Time for hobbies and relaxation was less a year more. My desire was no effort to master the climb Sljeme, and to a much shorter time to return home to his family. How am mechanical engineer by profession, did not think too much time to put two and two. The electric bicycle will be installed, I thought, and immediately threw himself on the job - says Sučić.

However, electric bikes and then there were, but had a great disadvantage. The existing bicycle ugrađivale the batteries in a way that the packages 'hung' on the classical side. It was necessary to build single frame, and each buyer will have incorporated other parts of the bike for his needs and wishes.

Once fully developed the idea and iskonstruirao his first electric bike, advertising the forum and the adventure could begin. Very soon began to pelt the first order.

- The price of bicycles whose maximum power can be 15 kilowatts (the equivalent of 23 horsepower) ranges 13-30 thousand, depending on the equipment bike. Despite the fact that price is not acceptable, the bike is totally worth it. Unlike a scooter, electric bicycle is not required to register, he should not fuel and maintenance costs are considerably cheaper. This bike a hundred miles just spent a half dollar and supply. Batteries for him are filled with such as mobile phones - all you need is a charger plugged into electrical outlets, and an average speed of 30 kilometers per hour, the battery can drive for 50 kilometers - Sučić says.

Interested buyers
Because of all should not have to wait long to be told on the forum and interested investors. His name is Vladimir Stunković, together with Sučići founded a few months ago, the company Green Vehicles Ltd.

- Finally, we have built a prototype that is balanced and satisfied all the performance I can say that we will soon go into mass production and make the 25 bikes. We bought the parts and machines for the production side and the engine - a small facility located in an underground garage Trešnjevci. Interested customers, except in Croatia, has also abroad so that we can boast that our boats went in Singapore, Canada and the USA. Word on environmentally friendly vehicles that do not pollute the environment - says Stunković.

But what this bike definitely stands out and makes a unique experience and feeling that gives when it is managed. Neither team is not the Morning he could not resist.

- How to manage this? - We asked Zvonimira Before we sat on the bike the hardest we've ever managed in a humble cycling career (average weight of an electric bike is 30 pounds).

- You will find your way - he was stingy with details.

Shortly after we realized that it can drive just as it is a normal bike (ie pedaling), we found gas at lunchtime.

After the initial outcry (which knows no linguistic discipline), followed by the enthusiasm and smile. Zvonimir says that all have the same reaction when you first decide to operate this bike.

Cross the distance of several hundred meters in only a few seconds and without any effort, the electric bicycle extra plus. So much that we soon regretted not have 15-odd thousand extra in your pocket.

New mountain bike ride
- The bike simply can not be cheaper. Construction of Its quite expensive and requires much time. But in the long run, it is a profitable product - Sučić explains.

He adds that currently develops new models of electric bicycles. The most interesting is definitely for Mountain bike rides, which will have the batteries located on the back of cyclists in the backpack.

- Batteries are easy to put on the back and join the bike. Why the back? So, I had the bike is not too hard, or that the weight is evenly distributed it would be easier to manage - says this inventor.

For the eco-bike that will cost 100 thousand kuna
Zvonimir Sučić no plans to fit the 'classic' electric bicycle - as the real inventor of your product soon to improve plans. The new model bike that he decided to make, which is still in draft phase and three-dimensional simulations, it will be like a car designer from znanstvenofantastičnih films. From the electric bike will vary mainly with the unique design, and because the material with which it plans to develop it will cost a whopping hundred thousand.

- Its performance will not deviate too much from the bike, which now produce, but his frame to be really special - we want to be in certain parts of the elastic, or that the whole frame serves as shock absorber. It will be much easier and more comfortable bike, and most likely it will be made of carbon or recycled polyethylene. But the word on green vehicles - says Sučić.

The translation is not perfect but you can get a idea what the article was about

Any more progress on this bike? VERY nice build my friend! I am a fabricator as well and I am just getting into this hobby, I will be building my own similar project very soon hopefully!! Lets see MORE pics!!

It looks better in real life.

Hal,
I find myself coming back to this thread multiple times and re-reading/looking at pictures trying to find details I may have overlooked. This morning I was rewarded with these fine pictures of completed machine. I could see myself easily becoming as obsessed as you are..... well maybe not quite.....but almost. Beautiful work, how much does the main body weigh?

I guess you missed the point of the photos of the white Stealth Bomber....

Does the fact that the first image of Hal's bike is called "CTRL+C" give a clue?

Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ;)

Thanks for the pictures, I have just realised that they have 24" rims, Is that correct?

voicecoils: Yes i'll have Yellow springs (the hardest one). I have even custom made stiffer then yellow but I think there is no need. Also I will drill rebound valve from 0,8 to 1,1 mm and hlp-s 32 instead of hlp10 oil.

Mark AW: Yes, the simplicity of design inspired me. I made it not for sale. I made it as a test platform for my new motors. It has souch huge space and it is easy to swap things...

Seriousknot: body 3,98kg, swingarm 1,98kg, V-boxx 4,6kg, motor 8,82kg, fork 3,18kg, shock 0,35kg....

Are these available for purchase? How much are they and do you have any Video of them in action? Could I possibly just buy it as a kit minus batts? I really like your design but I am sure its a $10K bike so I am wondering if I can put it together myself to save $$??

Thanks!
-Bryan

This is a thing of beauty. Stunning work Hal. LMK when you go into production :D

   !!!

I want one!!... You did what many person here would dream to have!

and maybe we cold make a group buy for the V-Box?.. droping the price a bit...

Would you accept sharing the plans you did of the frame? ( i mean every metal pieces?)

And if you want to keep the credit and visibility we cold leave teh Greyborg logo on it and be proud of having it on the frame it

Doc

Or... maybe we could reproduce it in Carbon Fiber. Molds could be easily made for the main body using metal inserts at the steering neck and Gearbox mounts. Epoxy resin is easy to obtain. We could even change it enough to avoid copyright infringement. All we need is a source for affordable Carbon cloth. Anyone work for the Aerospace industry?

Hal that is by far the best example of an ebike I have ever seen. I liked your older custom frame from a practical standpoint, but was never too excited about the looks. This one blows everything Ive seen out of the water, the original steath bomber too as it can't hold 48 screw tab cells like yours can.

I must have one, please make some to sell. I'd be willing to paypal you a deposit today!

You're dreaming mate! As if a difference of 8 cells means anything.

Have you even ridden one?

Never ridden one, but would love to have one. The original stealth holds 48 tab welded cells, so in terms of battery capacity they're equal, but for me the ability to change out a bad cell quickly and easily is something I really want. It's the main reason I'm not saving up for an original stealth. This is one of the few cases where the copy exceeds the original.

Right, I get you now.

There's a reason the original went for tab-welded cells - clearance. You see, the cranks hit the box with screw-terminated cells.

To be honest, I'd be more concerned with the tiny shock and the geometry.
