Wow, that looks like a significant improvement from their original "banana" model.

The price is going to be significantly high, which is understandable for the "early adopter" and not-many-competitors market, so I'll just be keeping my eye out for a used model over the next decade or so. :)

Yea looks really good. The 2 seat thing is a big deal too. At least for me it would be. Did they really make one yet though? The pictures all look like CG.

Is this a "sociable" 2-seater? (side by side) or a tandem (in-line seats)? I am a fan of the tandem tadpole, Here's a new VW, an old Messerschmidt, and a University of South Australia prototype...either way, its good that there will be more choices available.

I agree, two seats is important. Even if its for a solo commuter, the second seat doesn't cost much extra, plus its usable space for several sacks of groceries or a dog (on the weekends)...

Maybe its a motorcycle requirement ??? It is registered as a motorcycle

I didn't find any specs on the Myers motors site. Maybe they have just transferred over the 20kW ADC
motor and drivetrain from the current "banana" one seater. It has some limited specs on the Wiki page:

The Aptera should provide competition in the same price class once it is released:

Will be interesting to see which mode lthe public will prefer. Conventional looking as the Myers, or highly futuristic as the Aptera

Will also be interesting to see how long it will be until these types of vehicles can be mass produced in sufficient numbers for similar economies of scale as regular ICE cars. I think once production volumes go up into the 100,000/year price can drop to below $10k, maybe even lower. The complexity and number of parts in an all electric is in many ways less than that of a modern ICE car.

Its a sociable (side-by-side seats like the Aptera). I agree with jmygann, the central light sounds like it might be a requirement for the motorcycle designation, but its easy to cover (at least during the day) for a better look. I like it, perhaps add a WVO series-hybrid trailer for the rare long trip, and this is looking pretty sweet...

Meh...

Meyers is heading the right direction with the sociable tandem, they just need to let go of the past. (Corbin styling) "Green" is no longer cute or quaint or fringe, it's big business.

Toyota designers played it progressive but not radical and gobbled up huge marketshare. The rest of the big players are following suit; making PHEVs that look mostly like conventional ICE sedans, with futuristic embellishments (computer displays, video monitors, LED lighting, etc.).

Motorcycles are allowed to have 2 lights, and numerous other green trikes are being designed with headlights that follow the car pattern. Even standard motorcycles like the Honda Goldwing have dual headlights.

TD's styling was an improvement, but I still prefer the helicopter like styling of the aptera. If I had some spare cash and they offered a kit I'd love to build my own car with that body and some serious power!
