I watched the American Chopper episode today of the bike they built for tthe company Schneider.
The bike was a HUGE contraption, two electric motors, ICE motor and a 133v worth of
Lithium Ion batteries<--least they went with Lithium rather than Lead like their
electric bike they built :-S It has 4 modes of operation. Full electric, electric/ICE
straight ICE and i think the 4th was both electric motors running the bike plus the ICE...
Without doubt the biggest two wheel bike they have made, the most complex
and the ugliest...Whoever signed off on that front headlight needs to be shot...
The 'fuel tank' houses a tablet pc and a rotating webcam that you can
log into from anywhere in the world and rotate to have a gander about.
The Lithium Ion batteries are obviously located in thos HUGE side panniers
the are cylindrical cells housed in a custom plexi enclosure (something i think
i'll make for my Lipo pack right now have some 5mm acrylic sheet in the workshop
perfect for the job, might even have to pop a cold cathode in the battery enclosure to blingz
him up to haha..
