This recently hit BMS Battery: http://www.bmsbattery.com/controller/564-q75-front-driving-hub-motor-with-s06p-controller.html

Wondering if anyone has rolled the dice and ordered this little guy yet? I'm tempted to get one for a light weight build, but of course, would like to overvolt/amp the living hell out of it

Also curious if anyone has used the little LCD display with it. My guess is it just displays speed and battery life, but it would be pretty cool if you could use it to adjust amperage, as with the CA.

I did search to no avail, and apologies if this should have gone under the "Reviews" section, but since I am not actually reviewing it...

Cheers!

I'm planning on using one/them for a mid drive. I'll try and keep you up to date with how it works out. :)

Edit: here's some info I got from ecitypower about the hub way back in may! This is at what looks like 36v for the 210rpm max hub - dropping to 160ish rpm at 17nm torque, outputting 300w of power at roughly 75% efficiency.

no although i am running the q85 low speed in a 20" wheel with a 52 v battery got a top speed of 30kmh
and very happy with the folder bike setup with the q85 can be noisy to start of from a staning start.

The LCD is basically a cycle computer with a battery level display, but it has the function to adjust the current on the fly only for the pedal assist. You can select via the display any one of 5 levels. With advanced setting parameter P3 set to 1, the levels limit current, and when set to zero, they limit speed. You can't adjust the levels to your own values. They're presets.

Thanks for the replies guys!

@d8veh: So it lets you adjust current on the fly for PAS but not for the throttle? Too bad! Could have been a poor man's CA

Yes, it's only meant to make your cycling better by giving you different power levels, not to protect the motor from over-current.
