I was wondering if anyone here has tried installing a temperature sensor into a non-Hub motor? Have any pics?
I was looking at the new insane Cyclone 7500W motor setup, and asked around about it, doesn't have a temp sensor in it. I don't like that, seems to be just asking for trouble.
I've seen videos, and read tutorials on doing it with hub motors. I'm both mechanically and electrically inclined. But I've never seen inside a non-hub BLDC, so I don't know what to expect.
Would I be right in assuming it is a similar process? Open it up, place the temp sensor (NTC 10k?), epoxy it in place, run the wires out for it. Seal everything back up nice and tight. Looking at pictures of the motor, it seems it would be best to only take off the rear panel.
