Hey Folks!
just wanted to share an experience with you. I live and work in Carlsbad, California- -the town that http://www.aptera.com resides in. When I ran out to grab a quick cup at Starbucks this afternoon, I spotted an Aptera Typ-1 parked in the lot. When I got out to head into the shop, everybody was talking and buzzing about "that wild looking car." I grabbed my cup and walked back to feast my eyes, but the driver was already backing out of his spot. Silently I might add. When it got out on the road, the driver stabbed it and took off down the road real quick. I jumped in my car and spotted it turning into a business park, so I followed it back to the barn--because I guess I'm just so obsessed with EVs that I've devolved into a stalker. In my own defense, it was just so cool to see it actually rolling. I watched it handle some speed bumps and some tight turning in our smallish type business parks. All quite handily, too. Very cool. Looks like a ton of fun. (I realize I'm a dork so don't bother pointing it out.)
Wish you could've seen it. If you live in California, you'll start seeing these babies all over. I've heard about hundreds of people with deposits already placed for the first production run. The president of one of my clients ordered two. His and Hers.
