I can never have hero worship for someone like Senna. The year previous to this clip he was second to his teammate Prost for the championship and in the race where basically Prost could finish way back while Senna won and still be champion, so Senna preceeded to wreck Prost diving under and turning out but was disqualified and whined because that locked up the title for Prost.
In this clip Senna is leading the points by one more than the winner will get, a win by FORMER teammate Prost with Senna second keep the battle alive until the last race. With Prost taking the lead at the start, Senna again deliberately wrecks Prost by never slowing into the turn, this time it makes him the champion. He would acknowledge it several times in the remaining 3 1/2 years of his life, basically starting with statements like "What am I SUPPOSED to do?" Always the excuse that they didn't grant him the rules change that would give him an even bigger advantage at the start so he had to wreck Prost.
There was the big NASCAR incident that I didn't care for, but NASCAR is the WWF of racing, I call it racing for people who don't like racing and that fool nonsense is okay in NASCAR. The Grand Prix has higher standards. When Michael Schumacher pulled the same sort of stunt to wreck Jacques Villenue (And failed) he was disqualified from a full season of points, has he should have been. Senna never faced any penalites for what he did.
Senna belonged in NASCAR, not the Grand Prix. Some people will always make excuses for him.
