Bafang BBS02 suitability for Canyon Grand Canyon AL8.9

I've had a plan to add the BBS02 750w into my Canyon Grand Canyon AL8.9 29er. Started to look the bottom bracket and it seems that in Canyon it is 89mm wide, which is much more than the "normal" 68mm or 73mm bottom bracket.

So... Does anybody have an experience for adding the Bafang into such a wide bottom bracket? And even better if anybody have an hands on experience of fitting this into Canyon

It can't be done.

I suggest you look at the GNG kit (and Lightening Rod upgrades / full package) if you'd like and off the shelf mid drive for that bike.

It can be done if there is scope to remove some material off the bottom bracket to reduce its width. I did this on a bike with a 73mm BB. Although it wasn't necessary to actually fit the drive, removing 5mm off the chain ring side of the BB improved the chain-line nicely and allowed me to fit the lock nut on to the drive. About 74mm would be max BB width you could have so 7.5mm per side would be required.
