Bafang core swap

Hello all, I have a client with a Bafang rear hub motor with a mangled cable. Not wanting to attempt a repair, I suggested swapping the core with a similar hub motor. The original S/N is RM G0F2.750.D06. The closest e-Bay replacement is RM G062.750.DC. Anyone know is the cores are compatible or how to contact an English speaking/writing person at Bafang?

I do not. I'm just commenting because I have the same issue with a 9C clone and also decided that a core swap was easiest. I'm guessing about compatibility with what looks right on ebay. If my guess is wrong, I'll just rebuild the wheel. I'd rather not given that this wheel was built by a very good wheel builder and it has been flawless.

If you can manage it, never let your ebike be dragged behind a trailer for long distances. Now where did those wires go?

I will publish the results. The problem I see is that the replacement core is in a spoke-type hub, while the original is spokeless(large fixed.
