My customer did take a ride for the first time , on a steep hill, with BAFANG BBS02 mid drive motor.
After less than 100 metres, current stopped flowing and the bike looked dead.
I checked the entire kit + battery. All works but .. when pressing the throttle, a tick sound comes from the stator.
In the following video you can see this situation. It happens when the motor is closed too. Every cable is mounted correctly (i've checked on the official diagram).
Brake cables and speed sensor cable are disconnected.
My personal opinion is a short circuit due to a turning interruption. I can't test if this is the cause, the reason is that motor is not entirely unmountable. There are screws on the hall sensor circuit, but there are very small wires attached, and they're not disconnectable, should be cut.

Have seen references to this issue before, but its all buried in a long thread now.

Sorry but as far as i know that is not good news. :(

Great ! That link really describes what I need to know! So I will do the same like user ac246 did for its system. He changed some faulty FETs after recognizing which faulty, ordering P75NF75

Before you start un-potting the controller make sure you search other threads as well. Cant remember exactly where it was but i remmeber reading a comment by someone who had replaced FET's and it still didn't fix the problem. Complete new controllers can be had for $85 in Oz. Depends on your skills with a soldering iron i guess. :)

Also, can be handy when you are asking for help to have at least what country you are in on your profile. That way you dont get referred to a supplier in Uzbekistan when you reside in Lower Kalathumpia.

I opened the case when controller is covered by rubber. It took very much time eliminating the rubber and it's still a problem how to reach the FETs. I will contact the user eventually
