So I read on a post from Jeremy that "Keywin Ge sells bare Xiechang boards with every thing on bar fets and caps".
[strike]A) it was an old post and I don't know how to get hold of Keywin Ge[/strike]
EDIT: further searching: Keywin Ge is ecrazyman@gmail.com
B) I need 120v or even better 150v capable components
I remembered a thread by LFP/Luke extoling the virtues of
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS CSD19536KCS MOSFET Transistor, NexFET, N Channel, 150 A, 100 V, 0.0023 ohm, 10 V, 2.5 V
http://www.newark.com/texas-instruments/csd19536kcs/mosfet-n-ch-100v-150a-to-220-3/dp/38X4675
but I need higher voltage for my 26s lifepo4 pack in my emax scooter.
I did a search on Element14/Newark and came up with
FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR
FDP083N15A_F102
http://www.newark.com/fairchild-sem...2/mosfet-n-channel-150v-0-00685ohm/dp/95T0014
and
INFINEON
IPP041N12N3 G
http://www.newark.com/infineon/ipp041n12n3-g/mosfet-n-channel-120v-120a-to220/dp/47W3477
These seem to fit the bill for a straight swap into a Xie Chang.
So my questions are:
are there any pitfalls for using higher voltage fets with the same gate circuitry
Does anyone know how to contact Keywin Ge or other sellers of bare Xie-chang boards. Preferably 36 fet ones.
I did look into an off the shelf solution and the only one even near my money is the apt96600.
I might drop the voltage down to 21s with a 5s booster pack and go with a sabvoton 72150.
And I saw a post by powervelocity about the 199$ controller but I want one where the fets are specced to do the voltage I intend to use them with.
Currently I am going to run the original proud eagle 4kw motor on 16s and have a 10s booster which charges the 16s on the go with a 20a buckboost, but this is a temporary measure as I don't want to be woefully limited on speed or power.
