Following on from my earlier posts regarding setting up a BaseRunner / Heinzmann DD BDLC combo, (many thanks to those who chipped in).
The system is now functioning fine when not under load, however when riding the bike the motor operates perfectly on thumb throttle only control, (no pedalling). When peddling however, the power starts to ramp up, the motor then judders a bit and the power is cut. Even riding with the power level set to zero has this effect.
Using throttle only the motor is super smooth, the juddering only occurs when peddling.
It occurs to me as I write that I haven’t tried riding with system fully turned off, rather than simply set to zero assist, I’ll do that this evening.
Given that the motor operates smoothly when only using the throttle I’m assuming that there is something wrong with my Baserunner PAS settings, I’m just struggling to figure out what.
I am using a basic 12 pole, 2 wire PAS and have tried a variety of different timeout/torque ramp values in the Baserunner config, there’s never and change in the motor behaviour though.
Any ideas welcome.
