Battery Amps for 48 volts

I'm looking for a backup battery for longer distance riding. I have a 48 volt motor and wonder if I can use a 10 amp battery. My primary is 52 volt 20 amp, looking for minimum size and weight so I can limp home. Thanking you in advance.

Is it 48V
10Ah or 10A?

and is it 52V
20Ah or 20A?

If your building a pack....
Sony VTC6 18650 3000mAh Battery - 30A
in 13 or 14S at 2P should be plenty for your 48V 10Ah battery or 52V 20Ah battery.

Also dont forget about your controllers LVC

Is dependant of amps of controller. Battery max current needs to be chosen in regard to controller current.
