Battery testing

Hello, I'm currently living in Nepal and going to build an ebike with TSDZ8 mid drive motor (750W). I expect it to pull about 30A under the worst case scenario so 7.5A from each parallel cell.

I would gladly buy a battery pack if I could but can't find anywhere that ships here so I'll be making it myself with 18650 cells. Finding quality 18650 is also proving to be a problem.

I found one shop that sells sony VTC6 (rated for 15A continous, 3000mAh) but I wasn't sure if they were fake. I brought a couple to test individually, made a crude test rig with 15m of wire as the load, It pulled 9A continous dropping to 6A after 10 minutes as the voltage dropped. I expected it would last a bit longer, given that it's well within its continous rated range (should theoretically do 20min at 9A). Am I just expecting too much? I also tested a generic non branded one and it performed simlarly although only lasted 7 minutes, I have no idea what it was rated for.

Incidentally as I'm in the UK next week, has anyone flown with a quantity of 18650s? I know they can go in your carrry on packed individually and there isn't a quantity limit but I feel like someone would be unhappy about me taking 52 of them!
