Sorry to necromancer, but in screenshot002cg0.jpg, I see a piece of Kapton tape that holds down a capacitor. Kapton tape is not cheap. It would seem that they know the chargers get hot.

Hi and thank you, Brenda for helping my learning curve,
you too, Lowell.

I never felt that the charger was cheaply made--their chargers' exteriors, for instance, have a quality look and feel to them.

I did worry that it's not good condense something this hot-running into such a small case---why invite heat-related premature aging of the parts---such as electrolytics?

The unfortunate thing about this sample is that it did not provide a full 41V.
It's possible that was part of the issue: never getting the PCM happy enough to go on into balancing mode.

The bottom line is, that despite my pre-order requests to check and double-check everything because this was slated for review, it appears no checking was done.

The work all looked neat, at least.

It all sounded good too!
The RC and EV guys figured out the best for their needs.

The End of Review until a few months of cycling or the pack oozing melted wax out of the split seams after a few hard rides ? Until then more battery porn ....
It would be nice to have 30 Ah modular cells . Or the 36 volt ebike pack with a 2000 cycle life waranty.

So Reid, what did you finally do? I thought you were getting an EV Tech 36v 15ah pack. What are you riding on?
