I have a new BBS02 with 110mm BB. The gears are 42 on the crank and 14 teeth on the 26" rear. Running 52vdc I can only get 13.7 mph. I believe that calculates to 60 rpm from the crank. The wheel size is correct and I am not using pas.
I just use the throttle and leave the pas at 1. What do I need to do to get the more normal 80 - 100 rpm out of the Bafang.
BTW .. My programming cable just arrived .
Thanks

Weird. Throttle only on my new 48V BBS02 runs it faster than I can pedal. Over 120 RPM.

If you're not pedaling, you need a MUCH lower gear than you have. My 46/34 low gear tops out at 15.5mph on the flat. My 46/24 second lowest gear goes over 20mph. (I'm huge and heavy and so is my cargo bike.) By using too high a gear, you're giving up all kinds of acceleration and climbing ability, and adding needless wear and tear to your drivetrain.

I think they're programmed differently depending on who sells them. I got mine from EM3EV a few years back, and I'm pretty sure it was programmed so that the throttle was linked to the PAS setting. So if I was in PAS1 I would get like 50% of max crank speed and whatever current limit was set for that PAS setting. The ones my friends have got from other suppliers have been set to allow full speed/power on the throttle regardless of PAS setting. I think it's called "Designated Assist" or something similar under the throttle tab.

Thanks !!
The problem was rpm/power linked to the PAS. I bumped the pas from pas1 to pas5 hit the throttle and got pushed back into my seat. (just a little) lol
Lots of speed.
I would of never figured it out so thanks again dustNbone
