BBS02 Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Troubleshooting

I've been having problems with my BBS02 where one day the speedometer reading just quit.

I installed a spare speed sensor I had lying around...still nothing. The PAS works fine, but no speedometer readout. I'm not able to use the throttle because it won't work unless it sees some speed on the speedo.

Thing is I don't get any errors like I would normally with a speed sensor issue.

I have a brand new controller...still no go.

So...my questions is...what can I do to troubleshoot this? The speed sensor has a red LED on it...is it supposed to blink or something when the magnet passes in front of it?

Any help would be appreciated!

If it doesn't blink, it's probably because the magnet needs to be situated closer to the sensor.
