most areas have a business somewhere that sells parts, like a salvage yard for mowers. Check yellow pages.
Try local trade publications, craigs list, then ebay.

Yeah, craigslist. Right after reading your post I checked my local CL and instantly found this.
You can even post a wanted ad on CL. Probably a lot of the people on CL shopping for riders just had a rider fail on them. They probably think there is no way to get rid of their except the dumpster. You might be suprised, you might be able to pick on up for offering to haul it away for free. :wink: 8)

The two donor riding mowers that became my kids go carts back in the day, both came from me cruising seimi-rural areas on the night before trash pick up day.
