Hello, I recently bought a electric scooter with hub motor and some no name brand control. But I am not happy with it's jolty start and lack of regenerative breaking despite it's high break model. It has Tx,Rx pins as well. is there any universal software which i can use to change the voltage value of the throttle and als turn on the regenerative breaking features ?

Setup software is by the manufacturer of the specific controller. Some of them use the same software for all of their controllers, and some are model or series specific.

Most manufacturers do not make that available to end users, and only have it at the factory, but you could contact them to see if they have it available, if you don['t see any threads here for that brand and model/series with the softwrae attached or linked.

Some have specific hardware required to connect them to the programming software as well (like Sevcon).

As a side note, "high brake" terminology is often used for the electrical activation meaning, not the amount of braking provided from regen.

Yes; it usually means a brake line activated by a 12v or higher voltage, such as a brake line connected to a brake light.

Versus a low-brake that is activated by grounding the brake line.
