I keep blowing replacement clyte controllers for my 408/4011 hub. I know my hub sucks but does anyone have a good idea on a replacement controller? (cheap) I saw some used wilderness controlers for sale cheap, anyone know if I could use a wilderness controller on a crystalyte hub? Thanks

The WE brushless controller is sensorless so it should work, just hook it to the phase wires for the winding you want to use. I'm assuming there is six phase wires? Not sure how those duals work.

Bettter still, can it and get an E-Bikekit 2807 motor kit. You won't regret it.

Any of the Inferon style controlelrs will work, and there are several vendors to chose from for them, although you'll need to check the refrence area for how to connect the hall sensor wires.

The only down side is that you'll lose the switch, and either have to add your own switch, or just manualy swap the plugs to change from 408 to 4011.

You mentioned your motor sucks. How so? That might be the reason the controllers keep blowing. That motor should be nearly bulletproof

Wow, those are good prices... but i'd still need to get a controller lol...

Is this total trash or are these ok? I haven't seen any feedback from people who bought them.

Loofa, you need to address what is blowing the controllers before you buy something else. You should be getting years of service out of a CLyte controller matched to their CLyte motor, so it seems that you have a problem that will just result in another blown controller if you don't address the cause first.

Loffa, you say you keep blowing controllers, so what is causing it and how long do they last? Are they getting wet or overheated? Maybe you have a cut phase wire that shorts at times, that can blow fets. As John said you need to find out why it's happing befoer you replace your controller.
