Starting a thread to see if anyone experienced the same problems I had with there BlueRev Cobra from Epiccycles.ca

With less than 500km on the scooter, the planetary gears have taken damage twice.
The first time was doing a hill climb, gradual slope, paved sidewalk.
The second time was jumping off of a curb - impact. The gears shear off, then starts clicking and well then your ride is over.

The motor that originally came with the scooter is a HelloMotors Branded - XOFO motor
I had a bitch of a time replacing the helix gears, epic cycles was unable to supply them to me.
I finally found them on ebay if you are looking for them
"Set of 3 PCS Motor Gear Hellomotors Electric Bike PowerMax Ebike E-Bike"

Seller information vedlab3d (8451)

I really like the scooter, the ride is smooth and you feel safe on it.
It lacks power for hill climbs and in snow the resistance of the snow is just too much for it.

The battery life is also brutal, nothing compared to what the website says, you can maybe get 20km's out of it.
The housing to get into the battery chamber and controller access is also poorly engineered with dinky screws that are not meant to take any kind of torque, and are affected by climate.

I have recently replaced the motor, controller and battery, if you are looking at this scooter you may want to search for other alternatives.
The scooter only comes with a 6 month warranty.
