BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the law is the same for gas powered and electric bicycles in the bike lanes: they are not allowed while the motor is powering the bike.
If they go under 30 miles an hour they say they are still street legal. Deputy Jim Long of the Ada County Sheriff's Office says "It can be driven on the roadway, without title, without insurance and without a driver's license." But deputies say they do need brake lights, tail lights, headlights and reflectors.
