I'm working on a pcb that can make any 36V common charge/discharge port BMS battery compatible with the Bosch system. If you don't use the Bosch charger then all batteries are compatible (you just have to charge them with their own charger then).
Common port is needed because with separate port you could charge through the discharge port if using the Bosch charger on the bike frame chargepoint. This would not be protected and is dangerous.
A diode could prevent this on a separate port BMS battery, but then you need extra cooling for a diode. It's easier disconnecting the charge connector in the bike so no accidental charge could happen. This method doesn't use the Bosch charger.

The max charge current is 6.2A with a standard Bosch compatible charger (5v on the 3rd pin).

The module also enables double battery mode if needed. This way you can add any 36V rack battery (for example a 625Wh, more than Bosch offers themselves) to a powertube ebike, seamlessly integrating with the Bosch dualbattery system that automatically switches between the 2 batteries.

Just went for a test ride with 12S LFP 2kWh pack, estimated range 400km.Schermafbeelding 2025-11-22 om 21.19.38.png
