Hello, greetings all, completely new here...

Being a retard i loaned my bike to my cousin who washed it with a high pressure washer ...
The display shows "Error code 500" (Internal fault in the drive unit). As warranty is out of question, a guy who has a diagnostic kit hooked it up and cleared the error, yet it keeps reappearing each time i start it up.
Being an automation engineer i took the guts to take it apart and held it in silica gel for a week and treated the pcb with contact spray. Still same results. The torque sensor is ok as if i disconnect it the "Error code 510" appears immediately (Internal sensor error). I've found a used one on e-bay with around 350 euros which under the current circumstances would have been perfect, but it got sold and i haven't found any other. Since a new drive unit is around 700 euro (kind of much for the average human, taking in consideration the hell i went trough to gather the money for the bike itself) i'm desperately asking for anyone's help for my issue.
There is no oxidation, rust or burned components inside the unit.
The part number is: bosch 0 275 007 027 and i'll attach some photos.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance, have a nice afternoon.
Sz.

oh god, this is sad...I also have a Bike with a Bosch Performance Line 400W and Intuvia.
It is a Cube Hybrid Stereo 120 SL 29", I have the bill(4600e) but bought it from a guy who just used it 5 times. (I think yours is also a Stereo?)
He must have done the same mistake as your cousin. I use the bike every day and with my last ebike I rode about 7000km in one year.
After a week the motor started to make terrible sounds. FIrst I contacted bosch and cube, both told me to bring the bike to the shop where it was bought.
But this would be hundreds of km AND there is only warranty to the FIRST PERSON. If you buy a new but used bike(meaning there is not your name on the bill) there is NO WARRANTY at all.
There were also 6 rosty bearings in the frame...

I do all repares on my bikes and motorcycles since 15years by myself: I opened the drive unit, founding a big bearing in terrible condition.
Until 2016 there where no extra sealings in front of the bearings...you don't even need a highpressure washer to kill this bearings.
There are big threads in german pedelec-forum.de because of this very stuoid construction by bosch, they change all drives which makes strange sounds directly, even after 2 years or if you removed the speed limit . they don't want to get this problem public.
New bearing was 5e, new grease 10e, the sealing of the 2016 model 2e...now everything is fine.

What 500 error was it? there are serveral ones?? it is internal software error, you should first try to update your software.
I also recommend to remove the Intuvia and open the back of the mount(very small screws around the cable to the motor and remote ) carefully and dry it if there is any water in it.
Same for the mount of the Battery, there are 2 torx screws to remove the black cover, after that you can take it off.
There is a brown box with cables coming out. again 2 torx screws to open it...check if you have water inside.

I hope you will find a solution. If you buy a new drive you should ask what bike it was build in.
The size of your wheels is stored in the drive unit(no matter to what you set the intuvia, this is only for the displayed speed).
If you buy a drive unit from a 29" and build it in a 26 or 27,5" bike it will be slower.
There are also limits with the gearing. Bikes with a internal gearing Hub won't get full power and have a different setting for switching gears.
You will get problems using a bike(9speed chain, like the reaction pro 400/500) drive in a 11geared bike(9speed has 12-36 or 11-34 cassette) my SRAM xx1 has 10-42 cassette.
Bosch stored the max and min. gear ratio...you can't change this, there would be error in biggest or lowest gears....

the bosch cx drive is very nice to ride and very strong if you remove the limit and you can go 50kmh /32miles easily, but if you have no warranty you are totally screwed.
You even won't get a new drive if you don't send yours in first.
YES, they take the drive you paid for and which is broken because they are too stupid to use sealings and want over 700e to give you a new one.
Next time something different breaks, you could use the part from your old drive...COULD if it would not be taken by BOSCH
Maybe not to stupid, but all sealings create friction and that is the real reason why the don't build in any.
I will sell my bike next year and buy a BBSHD for my Specialized Stumpjumper FSR...

sorry for bad english, if anything is unclear just ask me, I will try to use translator...next time

reset the BMS of your battery (Press the button over 10sek)

My god, thanks for the heads up ...

yes it is a cube stereo hybrid hpa 27.5 with (1)x11 ...
error 500 (just 500) by the manual means internal fault in the drive unit, but i could try to open the intuvia display also (didn't think about that yet) ...
i did the battery reset already and the software update also, yet the error keeps coming up on each start ...
i contacted cube/bosch but cube didn't even bother to answer and the guys from bosch patched me to some silly downtown garage bike service who they claim to be their representative.
i told them clearly that i don't want it for free just give me the parts or even a drive unit with a decent price and i pay it, i know i made the fault ...

i've never seen in my life before such an incompetent tech support like bosch.
in May my rear hub broke and i wrote just an email to Hayes Group and next day they sent me the new rear hub, the tools to repair it and some picture with the how to ... and FROM Miami TO Romania COMPLETELY free of charge without asking even the frame number ...

could you point me to a "shop" where i could buy just the drive unit if nothing else helps?
