Burger King has begun offering home delivery in Madrid, and to my surprise the entire fleet of vehicles are electric scooters called "The Core" from the company "Going Green" Made in Spain! Surprisingly it has a very good finish seeing them in person. The motor is a 4000W hub, attached to a very interesting single arm. 1.5kWh battery or 2.1kWh. The retail price is about $4500 including battery and a fairly complete equipment. what do you think?

First thing that caught my eye was the price. Ouch! But the scooter itself seems to be of good quality. You say you saw it in person, did you get to try one? It sounds like it has the oomph and speed to be fun in the city. 125cc equivalent they say. It's minimalist in design but it has everything needed to be a good solid commuter. I just wonder if that screen is waterproofed enough to handle my climate, including very cold weather. I would like to see a good size windscreen added to their accessories, and something to keep the front wheel from splashing water on your feet since they are sitting on either side like a motorcycle. A system to keep the battery warm when the scooter is parked outside is a must in some climates. It's really cute.
