I guess i over volted and burnt my hub motor up. It was running great and then just stopped. I have a motor controller test and i tested the motor . a winding is gone. I wanted to test the controllerer and it kept mentioning hooking up the steer is that the throttle. I know it kind of a stupid question but what is the steer. Doe anybody have and info on testing controllers Help!

I'm clueless about the steer too. must be chinenglish.

There is some hope. If the phase is an open circuit rather than a short, it may have just come unsoldered from the wires. I had a motor do that, melt all the solder connecting all three phases to the windings. After a quick fix it still runs. Even the halls survived it.

Lift up er kilt and show us the fuzzy... I mean, open the cover and show us the windings. Even if you know the windings are fried, sharing your pain with everyone will help. And everyone likes a squizz at a well cooked hub, it is the money shot of hub ebiking....

A steer is the state animal of Texas my friend. :D

Did the motor get very hot or start smoking?

I always avoid getting hooked by that kind of steer. I thought the Texas state animal was a roughneck.

No it didn't smoke or smell burnt. I found out threw summation that steer is the throttle. Gotta what out for those Texas steers there very horny LMAO

"There are only two things from Texas, steers and " ... I forget the other. I don't see any horns.
