I'm building a new bike and would like to make it as tidy as possible. My battery box is midship and I'd like to run the wires through it, but the shunt is too large for the hole. I'm trying to keep the holes small, so could I cut the wire leading up to the head unit or is that a calibrated length that shouldn't be disturbed? Ultamitly I'd having connectors on the wire so I could remove and service would be ideal. Anyone try this or know if it's feasable?

You can cut the wires on a CA-DP all you want. The only part thats 'calibrated' is the shunt, which would be inside the controller, or in a plastic housing in line with the power for the standalone versions.

It should be possible to remove the contacts from the plug, thread your wires, then replace them in the housing.
