Can I parallelize a 3-wire BMS battery pack with a 2-wire BMS battery pack safely?

My understanding is that if I were to parallelize both of the batteries and charge through the charge port of the 3-wire BMS pack, it would charge both battery packs with no risk of overvolting or unbalancing the cells in either.

Just wanting to confirm this, thank you in advance!

I used to do this but the 3-wire BMS did not have the same voltage on its power output port as it did on its charge port so the second battery never charged correctly or fully and would never balance unless I pulled them apart. Not sure what the problem was but I retired the 3-wire pack and now run both packs with 2-wire BMSs.

It's also my understanding that I can hook my one port battery in parallel with a two port and charge off the two port. I've done it off/on over the years with different batteries that I had connected in parallel. It should work, but you never know how the BMS work, I would still expect the one port to have charging protection though,
