Can I use lithium charger as fast charger for SLA batteries?

I have a SLA charger that's rated at 59v and 3 amps. I also have a lifepo4 charger that is rated at 60v and 6 amps.

It's my understanding that a SLA charger will continue to trickle charge after a full charge is accomplished but a lithium charger just shuts off. This is probably ok. I was thinking I could use the 6amp lithium charger as a quick charger for my SLAs since it's twice as many amps as my SLA charger and should charge the battery in half the time. And the 1v difference won't hurt the batteries.

Is my line of thinking wrong here?

Yes, but quick charging lead kills it real good. If it kills it good enough, the acid inside boils and the battery bursts, throwing chunks of plastic and acid all over. Not cool if you are nearby.

But, when the lead is very empty, if the charge is only a small partial one, its safe enough for a few min. Like jumping a car. It's when you are really overcharging the pack that the thing boils.

I'd do it, but only for a quicker but short, partial opportunity charge on the road. I would not charge the battery faster, damaging it, at home when you can take your time.

Much depends on the size of your lead. if it's a 12 ah pack, then 3 amps is already charging it mighty damn fast! But if it's 100 ah, then the 6 amps charge is still a slow charge.

Yes. No. Maybe.

A CC/CV power source used for charging Lithium would work. there's probably even a trim pot that would allow you to drop it to 59 volts and not kill the Lead. However, if it's a true Lithium charger, it likely has built in protections and may sense that the battery attached isn't what it expects, then simply fail to turn on. My 37V lithium bulk charger wouldn't charge a 36v lead battery, I think because the internal resistance wasn't what it expected.
