Finally all the parts are here to build out a Villager with a Magic Pie Edge, have most of the parts mounted, sill have a few fitting issues for the electronics and wires to hide.
Then there are these Grin Torque V4 arms.
I think they are oriented in the right direction, but I'm not sure how I'm going to hold them down. Think I'm going to have to use a hose clamps(the ones they cam with are too small), but I'm a little concerned about the frame (its all aluminum). I'll protect the paint, but don't want to crush the cupped out portion where the tubes meet.
I thought about sliding the end of the torque arm into a metal tube that just fits it, then extending the reach farther up the frame so I can use smaller hose clamps and avoid the cupped out part. I guess the other option along those lines is to make a set of longer arms. Anybody have an opinion, I'm interested.
The dropouts on this trike are really shallow, the basically are as deep as the threaded axle shaft, so the tab on the tabbed washer doesn't fit in the dropout slot. Definitely want the torque arms to work properly, since the tab washer doesn't fit.
If I use a small piece of rubber under the arms and hose clamp will that in any way effect the performance of the torque arm?
Does anyone have an opinion or pictures of torque arms mounted on a Villager?
