Hello, just finished these fiberglass battery boxes. The main packs are two Ping 36V 10AH built as a split 20 AH pack. They sit under the seat just behind the front wheels. The one on the left holds the BMS, I put in a window so I can see the balancing LEDs at work. ( If I were to do this again I would spend the extra for two 10 AH packs instead of the split pack, I worry about all the little wires and connectors that join the packs.) The handling is amazing with the weight down low between the wheels, the trike feels planted, and lighter. I originally had one 20 AH pack in the hard panniers, handling not so good. With the panniers I can carry a total of 60 AH.

Bike geared up as follows: Catrike Expedition, 2.35 big apple tires, Ecospeed mid drive, Nuvinci rear hub, dual INOLED front lights, custom hardcase panniers made to hold 2 X 36V 20 AH ping, 50 LED rear light strips. Lights and GPS powered by DC converter, batteries isolated by PING diode packs.

Recently did a 100 KM trip pulling a 75 LB trailer, used about 42 AH, got through with 40 AH worth of batteries, one short charge, average speed 25 KMH, lots of hills.
