Can latex siliconized caulk be used for glueing down a circuit board? Im talking completly embedding top side, its one of kfongs boards going into a dewalt pack. Ive already done this and theres voltage leaking out. Dont know yet ,when it sets up ,if that voltage will be there or not. I felt that caulk would be a good medium as there is some give. Now for people to comment that know, I should have posted this first, live and learn. Cass

Bathtub caulk is conductive. Most consumer silicones are acetic to vulcanize the silicone rubber. The residual acetic nature will be corrosive.

I use Loctite 51387 Superflex® Non-Corrosive RTV, Silicone Adhesive for my electronics applications. That is what you want to use for long term stability or an epoxy potting compound.

Depends on a few things- type of a flux used when soldering and components on the board.
Some so-called noclean fluxes react with water, while the water soluble ones are actually designed for washing.
The parts are typically washable with the exception of electromechanical ones that are not sealed for that (switches, potentiometers), and some displays- check the datasheets

When cleaning the boards up can I use water, will it hurt the components, 3 resistors and a dioide. Cass
