Charging Connector that you drive into to connect?

One way to avoid the ritual of plunging in the vehicle to a charging connector (perhaps at the end of each day at home) is to construct the connector to be drive-in-able. IOW, the vehicle has a plug that - via the process of parking - gets inserted into it's receptacle. One design is a V-shaped connector with one wire plate on each side of the V-wedge, but I don't have any particulars on the design.
So, without any computer-aided insert method, is there any good way to make a charging connector you can just aim in for and drive-into in order for it to mechanically connect? It would be a permanent installation attached to the charging apparatus. Only two wires need to be connected because you can have the charging intelligence be in the vehicle.
I haven't seen much on this. But one method would be to have some inductive coupling to do the power transfer, but assuming we're using a direct connection, does anybody know of any methods to have a drive-in connector?
I'm interested in both large connectors for cars and the smaller connectors for bikes.

What? lol

Sorry :D

If your talking car, then a couple of scaffolding tubes on the garage floor will shuffle a car in to place that last inch or so. Making sure it is dead center of the garage, so you can have your V shaped wedge hit it's target receptacle.
