Chinese charger challenge

Hi all,
Have been lurking for some time, for those of the old "V" forum I posted as boulmerbeach.
I got some NiMH bats and a Nexel charger from Justin. Wondering if some one could translate this gem of a Caution instruction for this Chinese charger.

"To prolong battery life, do no connect the short-output for long time."

I would be guessing here.. but i'd say " Dont' leave it plugged in for days.. when the light turns green.. unplug the charger. "

With Nimh, the grey metal nexcell chargers should be left on green for aprox 2 hrs to trickle the pack to ballance it out.. more than that could result in overcharge.
