Most challenging recovery yet (crashes notwithstanding). Had to split and spread the deck on the trailer to get the car on. Top speed loaded: 48mph. Avg speed loaded 40mph. Fuel consumption outbound: >25mpg... return (loaded) >20mpg.

That tailbox looks like it angles in pretty sharply, did you get any numbers on with and without?

I couldn't get apples to apples, since I was loaded with the commutavan on the return. The tailbox was short, I went with it to see if the van would fit too, but no-go :( . I did get good mileage on the return tho. :mrgreen:

p.s. a bit more than $50 :p
 
As a noob here one of the first things I asked myself was, "why does this durden fellow get to hand out the 40s"? It's all so clear to me now. :wink:

I've seen one of those in Ann Arbor! Always wondered what it was.
