On a different news website I was able to use a Firefox Add-on, Video DownloadHelper 4.9.10
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
When video starts playing a little wheel starts spinning. Click on spinning wheel, save as, .mp4, done, easy.

On this news website Video DownloadHelper don't work. I can't figure out to record a video. Here is a sample video.

How can I record this video about hot dogs?

That Hofmann cartoon is funny. Here's a link to the video that you can download:
http://cdn.bimfs.com/WKBW/69df594980247c76b475d145866d343199f102fd.mp4

I got the link the primitive crude way--cleared my browser cache, watched the video, then looked at the properties of the biggest video file in the browser cache. That won't always work but did for this one.

How does one clear their browser cache ?? I get firefox windows that state my browser is using a massive amount of space or whatever. Yes, I'm that dumb. :)

You're sure not dumb.

On the current Firefox it is:
Tools -> Clear Recent History ->
Dialog box comes up
Time range to clear: select Everything from dropdown menu
press Details button: then clear all checkboxes but leave Cache checked

But I don't do it because the cache just fills up again to whatever limit it's set at. If it goes over that Firefox ought to automatically delete older stuff.

To change cache limit:
Tools -> Options -> Advanced
look under "Cached Web Content" heading for options

DID IT!
Not sure how you found that cdn.bimfs.com/WKBW link?

Here is how I do:
Using Firefox 16.0.2 and Windows 7
Type about:cache in the address bar. See Cache Directory: C:\Users\Marty\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\yzk78620.default\Cache
Clear Recent History. Play the video. Go looking for the video file. Look for a large file. [Might have to play the video a few times?] Copy the large file. Looks like this 16B9Bd01 Paste this file wherever you keep your files. Add .flv or .mp4 extension. They both work for me.

Thanks for the help mark5 :D
