I just got my motor and controller all hooked up to my bike, im just not sure if the tourqe arms are installed correctly.
I attached 2 pics, one tourqe arm on the left and one the right side.
Is the order of installation supposed to be T arm /then big washer/ then lock washer/ then Nut? Thats how it is on my bike.

I know the T arm on the Right side of the bike is supposed to go for front hub motors but i bought it from a recommendation from the forum.

Any info would be appreciated

if your not using regen or have lots of power 72v,then it looks fine.where your dropouts slotted on original bike? where they tight.im making some dropouts right now, thats why i was interested in your post.the pros will help.
your power lead from the axle hub should go on the outside of your frame, ive seen to many hub wires get messed up.and use good zip straps!ha :D

Hey thanks for your reply,

Im using a 60v battery 20amp and 35amp controller.
where the droppots slotted on my bike? im not sure what u mean. I didnt do anything to them so i guess yeah u can say that :)
good tip about the power lead ill cut the zip ties and put it on the ouside :) Yeah I will make sure the zips ties are tight on it :)

As for the order I put the torque arms on its ok? so first tourqe arm then big washer then lock nut thing then bolt?

Thanks, Chad

The most crucial issue is that the first thing in contact with the dropouts lies perfectly flat on the frame surface. Some bikes have "lawyer lips" or cups on front forks that can interfere, and cause the axle to spinout even with torque arms. Or in the rear, perhaps part of the frame protrudes enough to be a problem. If that is the case, then putting the washer to the inside could help, or grinding away a corner of the torque arm.

For 60 volts, that looks good to me. I don't even bother with torque arms for 60 v if the dropouts are thick steel.
