I'm hoping someone can provide some advice on selecting a 12v battery smart charger. The primary batteries I'm going to be charging are 12v 20ah
SLA electric scooter batteries, but I also have a couple 12v 50ah batteries for an electric wheelchair. I will be using a charger for them that came with the wheelchair, but who knows....someday that may go down and I'll have to use another charger.

Essentially I'm inquiring because I see so-called 12v smart chargers from three dollars and up. How good a quality charger do you need for maintaining batteries on a shelf? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are talking about a trickle charger for maintaining lead in storage,, I'd just go get the cheap one, like at harbor freight.

Thanks Dan - I'm glad to hear that I don't need an expensive charger for maintaining some storage batteries.
