Still in prototype, and even the presence of antibodies doesn't necessarily confer immunity. Worse yet, initial antibodies produced will use parts of the viron itself to function and cause false-negatives, i.e. saying you don't have the illness, but actually do.

Right. But the presence of antibodies means that the human immune system has mounted a specific immunologic response, and therefore memory T cells will be able to rapidly mount a response to a new infection (i.e. you are probably immune.)

Odds are it will be like every other novel coronavirus we've seen. None of them have permanently transformed our world.

In the US virus deaths will peak in about a week. Then they will decline. Then people will hit the bars and schools again, and we will see a second (smaller) peak. Then life will go back to normal.

Yep, though it's going to be area-to-area.

Most hospitals in the rust belt still lack any testing supplies, including mine- the death toll will be far higher, just because we will know better after the fact. Thankfully tho, the social isolation is keeping the number of admitted people in total down.

No you do not become a local just by buying property.

Point is not enough local rural resources to service the city folk.

Stay in place, means where you are, no heading out of town.

USA has now allowed more cases than any other country

NY alone now more cases than any other country,

actually filling mass graves in huge trenches on public land now.

I can report what the Mayor and county judge reports not what Texas report, they lower the numbers.

San Antonio/Bexar County, Texas 640 active cases, 44 in ICU, 24 deaths.
80 cases in one nursing home.
One Texas county acquired test kits and Feds/trump took them and said that they need to approve who gets test kits. what's up with that?

He's holding them hostage in exchange for their support. There's a congressman claiming now that he has receipts of Trump sending more ventilators to red states irregardless of cases for their backing- it's not yet proven, but completely within his wheelhouse to do so.

Often the only thing these refugees are usually found to be "fleeing persecution from" is criminal activities like child sex assaults or other dubious activities, this is why they always destroy their identity papers went trying to enter the country by boat, because they don't want their past catching up with them...
Often after enough protests, some are given the benefit of the doubt and given a visa but often end up later like this story where this refugee ended up raping a 6yo girl after being given a job as a security guard.

That would require my having ever been willing to pay any attention to him in the past 20 years.

I have no idea why anyone rational would have done so, nor why we are doing so now.

His cartoons were OK, but otherwise I see no evidence he isn't just another loon shouting from a soapbox he never earned.

It is valid IMO to immediately ignore the politicial opinion of someone who mentions paying attention to such sources.

How much would they have to? We know China's harvesting organs from prisoners and "re-educating" the native Uhgurs and nations aren't lining up to cut trade or blockade them for that. And 80,000 people talk- which is how we learned COVID-19 was so bad in the first place.

did china shut down the entire country and every manufacturing plant. how did the entire world get infected including an isolated tribe in the amazon but It didn't infect all of china?

212 countries have been infected, 1.8million confirmed cases globally and china the land of 1 billion people only has 80,000 cases.
