Hi guys,
I just wanted to share how impressed I am with my MAC 7T. It has about 10 000Km and for the last 5000 it made a slightly louder sound. Man I peak at 2500-2600w on that thing with a 12S Lipo and 40 amp controler.
I wanted to inspect it anyway so taking it apart, I realized that the planetary gears had moved on their shaft so they were rubbing slightly on the one way bearing.
I punched them back into place and added a small drop of thin cyano acrilate (crazy glue) so they should not move again
Apart from a little oxydation, everything looks brand new. When I bought it 3 years ago, I also bought another set of planetary and bearing assembly (just in case) The gears look so new that the gear slop from the old one is less than from the new one!!!. The gears on the new one are .004'' smaller in diameter than the old one
I changed bearings from planetaries and the 17 x 30 x 7 from the motor housing to shaft ( they were slightly rusted but still good)
I think this time, I am good for 30 000Km
1 question though...I have the one with the upgraded phase wires and temp sensor. Why is there 2 small red wires coming out of the motor? They are pretty much identical so after cutting my plug, I was SOL but I think I got it right because all seems to work fine.
