That E-car is "just" including 92kwh of LiFePO4 pouch cells!! in 10 subpacks !!

and 4x 250kW motor with INTEGRARED CONTROLLER for a total of 1 Megawatt of power

I visited the rimac automibili facebook page and the pictures are just incredible!!!.. he have the rimac logo on all parts...

2 cold hard facts ;

1.)
Nikola Tesla was born in Croatia.

2.)
No one will beat Croatian e-vehicles.

This is just a begining....

I support that enthusiasm

I hope to see a fully functional vehicle to back up all the things mentioned. I have done a lot of research and some things are not adding up. I want to see this kid succeed and show the big guys how it's done, but I've seen companies fall flat on major claims that were never backed.

Hmm ?.. very nice concept and i guess they need the big battery to support the power draw from the motors ( 1000kW), but that 92kWhr pack must weigh well over 500kg ! ( 400v ? , 230Ahr, of A123 pouches for example ?)

( and someone should tell them that milled aluminium wheels are very 1990 ! )

Yeah, go carbon.

I have checked about the battery pack...

this is strange and difficult to believe...

check that:

the battery we can see is made of 10 subpacks..

so if it have 92 kWh total.. that mean each subpack have 9.2kWh

I counted the cnumber of cells in each of these packs and it's 30 cells per packs

so... 9.2kWh divided by 30 cells = 306Wh per cells

these cells are lifepo4..

so 306Wh/3.2V = 95.62Ah

I guess they are 100Ah pouch but it use only 95%...

but... a 100Ah lifePO4 cells is HUGE.. and dont really sem to fit in teh pack i see in the exemples...

When will CroDriver post some weight numbers of the components used?

Going by what is posted above the pack will weigh 694kg/1530lbs of cells alone if he's using the 19.6AH A123 pouch cells. The 71kWh pack for the Rolls-Royce 102EX weighs 640kg/1410lbs. The Li-Ion Motors Corp. Inizio's optional 96.7kWh pack (If the use Kokam's 240Ah cells it would weigh 450kg/992lbs of cells) gives a range of up to 250 miles with a vehicle's claimed weight of 1089kg/2400lbs.

Now for estimates on the 250kW (peak) motor used I'll go with a low number such as 60kg/132lbs which will give us a total of 240kg/529lbs. Most 250kW peak controllers I've seen weigh around 15kg/33lbs which will give us a total of 60kg/132lbs. The transmission might weigh around 40kg/88lbs which will give us a total of 80kg/176lbs. So far just the power and propulsion section weighs a total of 1074kg/2367lbs (Might be higher or lower), so that will leave the car with 576kg/1269lbs to play with (Going with the weight posted of 1650kg/3637lbs). If the Inizio has a claimed range of 250 miles with a higher energy pack and lower weight, it would sound impressive if it went more than that (Like that record a Tesla got in Australia). I know the higher numbers will impress people and get you possibly more investors, but that can sometimes backfire.

When will a functional vehicle be ready? I really thought the vehicle everyone went crazy about would be something that people can actually go in and get a feel of things to come. If that was the case it would really have impressed me more.

Hall 9000 and Rimac seem to be friends :)

look at the windows and the Floor tiles... :?:

Hah! nice floor tile match:D

The best part is HAL doesn't even hide the fact that he works on this vehicle, in fact he's quite proud, as he should be!

Shit happenz

I was 100km from Frankfurt, but I didn't hear in time about the motorshow and about this BOMB

Pity! Hope to meet you guys in another occasion ...

have fun!

I knew about that for quite awhile, but I was not sure if Hal/Accountat would want me to disclosure... and yes Hal, Crodriver, Accountant are all friends...

Crodriver car is amazing BTW.

That is a beautiful looking car. :)

I want to see some tire shreding!

Yeah.... We wanna see that Mewgawatt of brushless motor in action!!

This is truly beyond the state of the art! Pure poetry in motion! Congrats, and best wishes on your future.

Terrific, we are waiting for smoking tyres and flying racing performances

He doesnt simply work with this car, he is the head of mechanical engineering department at Rimac Automobili.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like our project!

Yeah, Hal is the head of mechanical engineering in our company and he's doing a great job (for now at least  ).

You'll have to wait a little bit for shredding tires until we finish the P2 (Prototype 2). For now we only have the P1 and don't want to risk it.
