I’m about to purchase a sabvoton 150 amp for my b52 stealth bomber. I’ve been looking at the wiring diagram for the sabvoton and there’s a white wire for the motor temp on the main plug along with the halls sensor wires so 6 in total.

On my motor Cryslyte 5403 I believe it to be. I have my 3 halls, ground & live but no white temp wire. I have a separate 2 wire connection going to the motor red & black wire which I presume must be for the temp? How would I go about this as the sab only asks for the single white. I know my bike does have a motor temp as it’s on my display.

I’m a newbie to all this but finding it very enjoyable. My wife not so much.

I pulled out my old Crystalite controller from my parts box to check the connectors. The two pin connector is the temp sensor input/output.

Thank you for that.

I took a resistance reading then heated the motor and the resistance went up so that confirmed that. Now I believe I can run the red wire to the positive that runs with the halls then the black wire to the white wire on the controller to make use of the sensor to the seb

You should check make sure you know what sensor is used.
If it’s a 10 NTC temp sensor it should measure 10kohms at 25C (~room temperature), for example.

I’d rather not open it but if it flags up errors I will. Hopefully it’ll work without having to swap it out

It’s a super easy swap if the conductors are already there, since you don’t need to pull the additional wire.. The Crystalite motors Grin used to sell came with 10k thermistors

I have a controller off a much newer stealth bomber and that didn’t have the extra cable but it had 3 extra wires with the hall sensors they mustbr changed the routing. Also the wire thickness and quality was no where near as good on the newer unit.
