Currie's models implementing the TranzX electric drive system include the E3 Peak and the E3 Dash. The Peak is a 27.5-inch hard tail MTB with the new central drive system for the US market with a high torque, 48V BB mounted motor with throttle and torque sending pedal assist modes. The E3 Dash is a street and urban bike, currently with a 500W, 48V rear hub motor with a maximum speed of 45 km per hour in pedal assist mode and 32 km per hour in throttle only mode.

TranzX also offers a hi-power central motor range with the 48V/350W M07 motor – capable of speeds reaching 32 km/h where regulations permit. Compatible with the new TranzX BL17 down-tube battery, the 48V motor is especially appealing to cyclists asking for a more powerful riding style. The central motor features an integrated controller and dual-sided BB Torque sensor and is compatible with either disc or V-brake...the new BL17 Down-Tube Battery can be attached to the down-tube of the bike frame. The new Lithium-Ion BL17 battery is being offered in both a 36V (8.8 Ah/11.6-Ah) and 48V (8.7-Ah) version, with maximum capacity of 415-WH

the M25 central motor has been developed as a logical extension to the popular M07 motor range. The M25 weights a mere 3.5 kg with scaled-down design and extremely low noise and vibration levels. The 36V M25 motor features a maximum of torque of 50 Nm. Custom coloration options and a special aesthetic shape make the new M25 motor a self-contained design element. It is one of the first e-bike motors capable of harmonious integration into the frame. The M25 requires only three bolts for mounting to the frame and one connection cable to the motor making it an easy "one-bracket-fits-all" assembly for OEM...

...Growing demand for higher power and speed capabilities for various markets have spurned TranzX to develop the high powered 48V/ 350W M07 motor – with running speeds reaching 32 km/h where regulations permit. Compatible with the TranzX BL17 down-tube battery, the 48V motor is especially appealing to cyclists requiring a longer and more powerful riding range. The central motor position offers greater flexibility.

thanks , I have read everything on it and have one ordered from long island.. Just figured there would be some personal reviews by now.. Should have mine soon :D :D

Sure , should be here tomorrow.. I have no experience with e-bikes at all but have competed in road , mtn , and tri races for years.I will ride it like I stole it and let you know how it performs.. 8)

Currently riding the 2014 peak and put about 100 miles on it so far. It's been a great all around bike for off roading and commuting. Plenty of power on the top end while still having great low end torque for hill climbing. Will probably switch to more of a street tire (big bens) when they come back in stock. Mid drive system is great and really adds to the durability of the bike. After riding on hub motors for so long, the mid drive really feels like an all around upgrade. Better weight distribution, lower center of gravity and less of a headache doing anything with the rear wheel (removing tire, etc).

Gear shifting is a bit clunky and takes a bit of time to adjust to. Best to shift with minimal chain tension. Power delivery is decently quick, but wish it was instant. One major gripe I have with the bike is the lack of throttle only option... Sometimes I want that instant power or to cruise on auto pilot and it just isn't there. Hoping someone on the forums might be able to shed some light on a bypass or something. Other than that it's been a really awesome bike, my most recent commute was 30 miles round trip from our diamond head store to pearl city.

Here is a little video I made of the bike showcasing it's climbing ability and downhill stability.
