My cycle analyst v2.2.

When cycle analyst (v2.2) is plugged it sometimes gives me somekind of speed error.

When i pull the throtle the speedcounter on the display gives me an error and says iam over 200kph or other weird speeds.
There fore the bike is not giving me any power . because the speed limit is set to 99kph so it blocks the power.

Any one is fimilair with this problem ? any solotions ?

Hi Stephan,

Be sure that the numbers of "poles" are correctly set in your CA (settings) to match your motor, 9C motor and Chrystalite motor as different number of poles, if you use a single magnet like a bicycle speedo you need to set this value to (1) pole. Also be sure that your overall circumference value of the wheel with the tire is correct you can use a rope to mesure it exactly or a small wire

I hope its help, good day!

Stefan,

If your CA 2.2 is a stand-alone version, check your spoke magnet. I had a problem that was very similar to yours: the CA it sensed crazy speed and cut off the system when I tried to ride. I found that the magnet had gotten rotated 90 degrees from where it should be on the spoke and in that position it would make the reed switch in the sensor vibrate at a very high frequency when the magnet passed by. This causes the CA to interpret this as a very large velocity. It also made the mileage read very high as well!

Ty you for advice en response .

My CA.2.2 is not a stand alone version its directly connected to the lyen controller.

I think the problem is in the spoke or in the sensor, the sensor picks something up and gives me al the weird speeds and therefore is cut of the power.
At the moment i disconnected the spoke magnet, and have no problems . In the weekend i will try to connect spoke magnet once agian and will test it of the problems comes agian.

I will keep you up to date

Hi,

Just to clarify a "stand alone CA" use an external shunt and a spoke magnet, A "direct plug in CA" didn't use any spoke magnet for speed at all. And "Direct plug in CA with speedo" use a spoke magnet for speed and it's connect to the shunt of the controller (internal).

If I understand you clearly you remove the spoke magnet and everything is fine but you can't read any "speed" on your CA right?

Have you checked the poles settings on your CA or not? , you really need to set this value to "1". Also take a closer look to the sensor sometimes it puff out for no reason and I have fix mine with hot glue. If you have cheap computer bike you can use this sensor by cutting the wire and connect it to your CA.

Good day!

Thanks for this suggestion, it sounds like the problem I'm having. Though with a 66mph speed limit, it still gave power fine at 400mph on the display....
