Kelly Controllers has added a CAN Bus ( J1939 ) option to their KBL & KBL-I line of motor controllers. The Controller CAN Commands List has been added to the end of their users manual.

I was told that you can send SR232 hexadecimal commands Through the serial port using the Wndows serial port debugging software and have the controller return the motor phase voltage and current. The data from the RS232 port is very limited.
It will only send this data once for each request unlike the Cycle Analyst that sends the data over and over again making it easy to capture by a computer.
I need a lowcost way to interface for this CAN Bus & RS232 data and get it into my computer data base programs.
I would like hear of other motor controllers that can output data and how to get it into a computer data base program.
