nice range. how much did the dewalt batteries cost for each one and setup in total (Dewalt part)?

I think the 12 ah rating on those Dewalt flex voltage batteries is marketing, and the rating is at 20 volts. If you look at the battery specs, it can provide 240 watt hours (12 x 20), that's the equivalent of 4.6 ah each, at 52 volts. Still a lot of capacity, when you add it all up. You need to look at watt hours when comparing batteries of different voltages.

Be aware that the flexvolt system uses 15-cell battery packs which can be automatically configured to 5S / 3P, or....15S / 1P...depending on which tool it is inserted into.

3.6V Nominal___4.2V max charge per cell

5S______18V___21V

15S_____54V___63V

I do NOT recommend using 15S on BBSHD/BBS02/TSDZ2, Which have 63V max capacitors in their controllers. But this poster is using a hubmotor, so he should be OK.

yeah, i am always on the hunt for a bargain or a new use for batteries from a different sector. it all depends on cost though and scalability. It looks like scalability is pretty decent from the video but what is the cost?
