Did you guys hear about walmart receipt 'policy'?

Hey, the receipt checking was news to me. And I can think of more logical and reasonably acceptable ways than harrassing innocent customers who literally just went thru the surveilled checkouts. . . . . If the receipt check actually catches anyone, it's gotta be the dumbest and weakest thieves to begin with, tho I've not seen any evidence even of that result lol.

Also, as far as 'story', the fact this 'santa nazi' theft protection gentleman eventually ended up killing someone indicates to me there are problems with the policy, and the employee's interpretation of it and the law. Where's the videos of this method working at all? All I see is innocent customers being harassed with this ramshackle approach that's obviously based in 'guilty till innocent' thinking.

Here's the story if I forgot to post it.

. . . cause of death to be mechanical asphyxia due to restraint. The Medical Examiner’s report also found that he had 15 broken ribs.

And here's the one linked where I'd like a timestamp to confirm the more postmodern interpretations here :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrtjDyXIBrc

Well, it happened. . . .

I think if I wasn't aware of the dumb policy and the sometimes draconian interpretation of it, I wouldn't have heard her though.
I was buying a half dozen miniblinds at like 9am. Walked to the other end of the store to checkout since they must've been understaffed and had the other checkout closed (big surprise). Of course, most people don't bag things that are several feet long, and that must've opened me up to the 'inquisition'.
Lol, I was walking out thru the tiled area not 25 feet from the checkout and noticed the greeter. About 4 steps after her I heard a faint "can I see your receipt please?". It was like she was talking to someone beside her, but I turned anyway and then with eye contact she then repeated "can I see your receipt?".
At that moment I instantly prepared myself to tell her to call the police if I was suspected, and that I wouldn't be bothered to show the receipt or be stopped from leaving. Instead of opening myself up to a problem, at the same instant I continued the 4 steps out the door with a quick shake of my head.
It was SOOO damn anticlimactic, next time I want to have some fun. Like throw the receipt and run, pretend to be retarded, run into a wall, pull out a sextoy from my pocket, or do a stop-and-chat and make up some ridiculous story for the hell of it. Such a dumbass policy, but at least this walmart is following it properly. :D

I would just keep walking acting like I never heard anyone. I do that a lot. I dont stop even when the alarm goes off and no one has ever stopped me, ever.
