Hi Ebikers.

I am about to get a FUTR Alpha from Australia to replace my old vector light frame.

I would like to hear if it is possible to reuse my "old" battery 20s6p and make a new one (20s12 or 14p). Is i possible to reuse the olds q30 samsung cells and spot weld them to new unused cells without them giving me problems? My 20s6p is on around 15 cycles.

Also, does anyone know a online battery planner with wires and such.
Thanks alot!

Best regards

I put new cells in a used pack once. I didn't just mix 'em up either.

What I did was add one new cell in parallel across the whole 13S string, wich was no problem ofc.

So for you to add another 6 cells in parallel should be no problem, just make sure they all have the same voltage when welding them.

How did that pack hold up? My plan was to add 6 or 8 new p's to the excisting p's as it is much less work.

Well since the cells are in parallel, they act as one cell. But I could definitely tell that the range was better.
