Hello there,

I've purchased this controller from Aliexpress:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/48V-1500W-18-mosfet-Motor-sine-wave-brushless-controller-for-EV-electric-bike-BLDC-controller-for/1829734229.html

The controller looks ok, the sine wave setting only works over 10A load.

However, I plugged in to my bike. Everything works fine now.

However I plugged the low brake plug and it does stop the motor. But it doesn't seem to regen. How do I activate the regen or how do I know about that?

Thanks

SEE MY POST BELOW!

Cwah,

Is it as silent as you thought it would be? Is it significantly quieter than your regular controller?

Yes I have another sine wave controller and it's so silent I can only hear the wind when I'm cycling with a DD hub. It really has an impact.

However this controller is only silent over 10A

cwah, How do you know that these Sine wave controller from Suzhou have Regen capabilities? If so that sounds interesting.

I purchased the 72v version:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/BLDC-72V-2000W-18-mosfet-electric-bike-controller-controller-suit-for-1000W-1500W-hub-motor-G/937734_1535950394.html

but for now no regen. The motor stops that's all. I'm in touch with the seller. I'll keep you informed guys

It does look like the sine wave mode only works from time to time.

Half of the time the motor is noisy and half of the time it's compltely silent. And it only happens on 20A and more....

I'm asking the seller why.... :/

Do you mean that it sounds like a square wave controller below a 20A draw? If so, you need to going near WOT, don't you?

Yeah I have another lower power sine wave controller and it's completely silence. It's really a breeze!

But with this controller sometime it sounds like square wave... I purchased 2 of them and I'll test the other controller to see if it's a manufacturing issue

DO NOT BUY CONTROLLER FROM HIM!!

I TESTED THE 2 CONTROLLERS I PURCHASED AT 72V

THEY CAN'T WORK AS SINE WAVE OVER 76V. That's means it's as noisy as a normal controller at this voltage

AND REGEN IS NOT WORKING EITHER!!

I wasted so much money with him

Because I paid extra (like 3 times more) to have a sine wave controller and it's as noisy as a squate wave over 77v (which is most of the time for me) and without regen :(
