Hi all, I have a bike with a bafang 36v 250w hub motor. I want to put something more strong, but with no several changes in the bike's weight. So, I found this motor, it's almost the same size of mine, but it's 36v 800w:

My system is this (36v version): http://www.yokuenergy.com/en/ProductShow1.aspx?ChannelID=3&TypeID=28&ProductID=175 . It has a built in 9 mosfet sinewave controller.

The motor above will work with my system? It has really 36v 800w ? Bafang brand has more quality building?

Thanks.

I'm sure that motor is indeed 250W-350W rated, but it is reliable to be pushed at 800W peaks as adviced, but close to its maximum. You could push it with any <1000w peak controller with no major issue in average conditions

The Q128 motor is a hidden gem. It's very powerful for its size and very smooth. IMHO, it's better than a Bafang. The problem is its speed. It will only do 17 mph because it only comes in 201 rpm version. If it's extra torque you need, this motor is a perfect solution. It will work with your system as long as your controller is for hall sensor motors.
